Orange Park, Florida

La’Rae is a well-respected family attorney in Clay, Duval, St. Johns and Nassau counties. She has a unique ability to see the big picture and is often able to find creative solutions where not always apparent.

La’Rae’s legal experience includes using both traditional as well as Collaborative Law methodologies, giving her the skills necessary to think outside the box and resolve legal disputes. She is not afraid of the toughest cases with complex issues and complicated family dynamics, and when necessary is a fierce litigator arguing your case before the court.

Being the wife of a retired naval officer and the mother of a Florida Air National Guardsman, La’Rae has a keen understanding of the special issues that encompass legal matters involving active duty service members and retired military veterans.

As a true measure of her commitment to the betterment of families in the state of Florida, La’Rae was the 2010 honored recipient of The Honorable Lamar Winegeart, Jr. Pro Bono Service Award for her voluntary legal aid services to the residents in Clay County.

Prior to opening her firm in 2004, La’Rae worked as an Assistant State Attorney for the 7th Judicial Circuit prosecuting misdemeanor and domestic violence cases, as an insurance defense attorney for a large Orlando based firm, and worked as an attorney for Children’s Legal Services representing the State of Florida in Dependency Court.

La’Rae is a graduate of Jacksonville University, graduating Magna cum laude in 1998, and received her law degree from Florida Coastal School of Law in 2001.

La’Rae is a member of the Florida Family Law Inn of Court, the Jacksonville Bar Association, Clay County Bar Association, St. Johns Bar Association, and the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida.
